Description:

The images were acquired through Hydrogen (13 hours), Oxygen (8 hours) red, green and blue filters (0.5 hour each), with a Zwo ASI 2600MM camera and an Astro-Physics AP130 mounted on an Astro-Physics Mach1 mount.

SNR G013.3−01.3 is a faint supernova remnant projected against the crowded star fields of Sagittarius. Spanning approximately 70 × 40 arcminutes, it lies an estimated 10,000 light years from Earth and appears as elongated X-ray emission accompanied by faint optical filaments.

Long, tightly grouped filaments glowing strongly in doubly ionised oxygen appear to fan outward from behind a dark interstellar cloud before merging into a broad region of diffuse emission. Their brightness suggests shock velocities exceeding 100 kilometres per second, while their sharp edges may represent sheets of shocked gas viewed nearly edge-on.
