Description:

NGC 4565, also known as the Needle Galaxy, is a stunning edge-on spiral galaxy located about 30–50 million light-years away in the constellation Coma Berenices.

Classified as SA(s)b, it has a bright central bulge and moderately wound spiral arms. Often compared to the Milky Way, NGC 4565 offers a clear view of spiral galaxy structure from the side, helping scientists study galactic dynamics and evolution.
